The EU is shifting from “full decarbonization” to a balance with energy security. As a result, Eastern European countries are investing in life-extension programs for thermal power plants.

Market update: Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia are launching modernization programs for TPP/CHP units built in the 1970–1990s.
